Saturday 5th October 2019 saw the 52nd Championship Show of the Finnish Spitz Club.

The judge for the Championship Show was Mrs Brenda Williams, who has been heavily involved with Finnish Spitz since the 1980s, and was for many years the Secretary of the Finnish Spitz Club. The Special Award Classes this year were also judged by a breed specialist,Mr Trevor Howlett. The show was held at its' usual venue of Baginton Village Hall.

Although it remained dry throughout the day, the committee made the decision to hold all judging inside, with a spacious ring put up with plenty of ringside seats there was a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day.
The show opened promptly at 10:00am with judging starting at 11:00am.

Following tradition our President, Angela Cavill and Vice President, Dolores Montgomery donated a boutonniere for every lady present in memory of Finnish Spitz no longer with us.

The show ran smoothly all day, with a great buffet lunch available for everyone, and free tea and coffee for all throughout the day. The raffle was full of excellent and prizes, and rounding everything off superbly there was champagne and cake for all to enjoy before their journeys home!

There were also numerous gifts for both human and canine exhibitors which were greatly appreciated.

The catalogue was special this year with all adverts in full colour it made for a special memento of the day.

The Finnish Spitz Club would also like to pass on their sincere thanks to Brenda and Maurice Callow for all their hardwork on the day, and Christine Gilbert for stewarding throughout the day.
